A Peaceful, Nurturing Infant Room
Our infant classroom is calm by design, with soft music, read-alouds, and warm, energetic teachers who keep every child safe and nurtured. Our goal is to give parents confidence and to be an extension of your love and care, while helping each infant build independence through freedom of choice and movement.
Each day includes engaging developmental activities, music enrichment, and activities that promote physical movement and stimulation.
Early Literacy Starts in Our Infant Room
We begin our Science of Reading curriculum in the infant classroom. Teachers spend intentional time on language development: they narrate the day, sing, introduce new vocabulary, make lots of eye contact, read rhyming books, and use big books for read-alouds at circle time. Yes, circle time! It's how we model learning and prepare your baby for the next classroom.
A True Partnership With First-Time Parents
We specialize in supporting first-time parents. Expect a real partnership in your baby's development, with lots of communication, patience, and understanding. We look forward to nurturing your baby and helping them grow into a confident, independent toddler.
Faith-Based Values, Every Family Welcome
Village Montessori is a Christian preschool with Christian owners, and our values are rooted in the Christian faith. We welcome families of all religions and backgrounds, and we're proud of our diverse students and staff.
What Comes Next: Our Primary Program (Ages 3–6)
As your child grows, they move toward our Primary Montessori program, where we prepare children for kindergarten with a proprietary curriculum that blends Montessori's whole-child approach with Science of Reading instruction aligned with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and the Fort Mill School District. Our goals: every child learns the five critical reading skills by age five and gains the independence, executive functioning and love for learning foundational for school success.
